ContractCart Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Account: name, email, phone, company, password (hashed), and for agents your license number, state and brokerage.
- ID check: photos of your government ID (front and back) and a selfie, taken in the app. They are stored privately in ContractCart's database, seen only by ContractCart staff to confirm who you are, and the name on your ID goes on the agreements you sign.
- Proof of funds: the document you upload and the amount, seen only by you and ContractCart staff.
- Deals: listings, photos, contracts, locks, JV agreements, signatures (name, time, IP address) and deal chat.
- Payments: the refundable lock hold is processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number. Boost purchases are processed by Apple.
- Device: push notification token, and the advertising identifier only if you allow tracking (for Google AdMob ads).
Who sees what
- Before a JV is signed, buyers see the approximate area (and the street name only if the wholesaler allows it, never the house number), photos and numbers, but never the wholesaler's name, contract, title company or contact details. Location data is removed from uploaded photos.
- After both sign, the buyer and seller see each other's names and the full address and contract, and we send the signed JV and a fee invoice to the title company on the listing.
- Service providers: Stripe (refundable lock holds), Render (servers) and Supabase (database), in the United States, Apple (push notifications, purchases), Google AdMob (ads), Resend (email).
- We don't sell your personal information.
Keeping and deleting
Legal hold: if you signed a JV, an Address Access Agreement or a Pipeline Agreement in the last 12 months, deleting your account removes your profile and sign-in, but we keep your name, email, phone, mailing addresses (current and past), those signed agreements and ID photos (not your proof of funds) until that period ends, because a platform fee may still be owed. They are then deleted automatically.
Download a copy of your data in the app any time (Profile → Security → Download my data). Delete your account in the app any time. We remove your profile, buy boxes, ID photos, selfie and proof-of-funds files. Signed agreements and deal records are kept as long as needed for closings, fee claims, taxes and legal reasons (generally up to 7 years).
